Mango has a new store in New York, at 561 Broadway in Soho. The brand had been after a space in Manhattan for years and has finally made it to the buzzing area.
What to expect? Mango has been big in Spain and Europe for years. It's boutique-style stores and a unique approach to high-street fashion results in a slightly more expensive product, with a richer range of clothing than one of its main competitors, H&M.
Key garments? Coats and jackets are fitted and very feminine, in greys and passionate reds.It's denim range offers a wide variety of skinny fits. Penelope Cruz's collection has a purple dress ($99) we adore. Sexyness to the max with suits and tailored trousers teamed with overtly femenine blouses. We could go on, and on, and on.
A last word? We do hope Mango will make an effort in the sizing area, as the smallest and biggest girls always have trouble finding the perfect fit. Everyone is NOT average nowadays, and Mango sometimes fails in that respect.
