2011 was the year Fashion Limbo became uberly cool and got herself an iPhone. The new gadget became a endless source of fun, as this fashionista discovered the world of Apps ... and Angry Birds, until, sadly, she lost a boyfriend to the bird game.
However, this writer soon found her mojo back, forgave her man and - after downloading the full version of Angry Birds for him - discovered Instagram. To her surprise, a new world unravelled in front of her eyes, with an amazing array of retro filters and curious effects.
She saw the funny side of her Taschen fashion calendar:
She marvelled at not instantly killing the plants she had bough for her new patio, showing off the first lavender flower to pop up
She showed off a little more, happy to have swapped the cold city of Brussels for a quiet neighbourhood in Malaga, in the coast of Spain.
She learnt that working can be fun too, especially when barefoot and lying in the sun. She also got burnt. She decided not to brag about that.
She realised that even when visitors were really boring, they could also make for an arty portrait.
She learnt that taking pictures of cute kitties is not a good idea, especially when their angry and scary mothers are ready to scratch the eyes out of anyone watching.
She found a new way to torture her beloved pooch, by taking pictures of him over, and over, and over... and over again.
She discovered the beauty of Primark slippers.
