Last Saturday, following our quest to be more green, more fashionable and think outside other more obvious fashion capitals, like my beloved London, Fashion Limbo went to Antwerp for some vintage-shopping. We literally shopped 'til we dropped, our feet ached and our eyes became exhausted from so much browsing. There are a lot of vintage shops, and one day is certainly not enough.
Our favourites?
We loved Think Twice (see pic), just off the main shopping street (Meir). It is great for handbags and belts, and with regards to the clothes, it is quite a huge collection of clothes, both for men and women. Their wide array of dresses is another plus, and the prices are so good, Fashion Limbo had to use the word "overwhelmed" on more than one occassion.
Another of our favourites of the day was Sussies, mainly because it is so retro you will think you time-travelled back to the 70s. Fantastic adidas bags, Burberry trench-coats, and a great collection of shoes (even 40 and 41 in the girls section).
Oh, and we must not forget to mention the inspiration for this trip, the website www.antwerpisthenewparis.com full of fashion news and great information on one of the hottest fashion capitals.
