The sales are, luckily, close. In London many stores have started their offering discounts, New York has been doing it for weeks, Barcelona is considering it...soon it will be "ready, steady, go!" time and where to start? Remember, the key is to buy stuff you are truly going to wear and if the style can be worn throughout spring your buy is more clever.
Well, if there is one thing I am truly tempted to go for, that is animal print...all fake of course, but all truly fashionable and ever so chic. Animal print coats have been a winter statement, and the print is to last at least until summer 09. Where to spot the best examples?
- Zara: Go there for the sexiest stylettos around, peep-toe and with an extremely thin heel, they are to die for.
- Mango: The coat worn by Penélope for this year's colder months is a true classic. If it's a bit pricey for a tight budget, go to Dorothy Perkins for another great example.
- Dolce and Gabbana: ok, they may not be rushing to give us sales, but their 09 Cruise collection (pictured above) is an example of what you should be aiming for if you want to "go animal".
- Topshop: We love their leopard slouch bag.
