I did an interview several days ago with the Head of Promotion of Ryu Myu, Miss Vania Wibisono. My friend, Paihe Tandela and I got to PIM 2 around 2 PM. But, before we headed off to the store, we decided to find something to eat first. As you all know, nothing goes better with food than girltalk!! So, we managed to gabbed about everything from frozen yogurt, Heavenly Blush, and how HB only opens at Gading and PIM, i gotta say, that was my first time eating HB's yogurt.
We arrived promptly at Ryu Myu at 3 PM and met with the gorgeous Miss vania Wibisono. It was a lil' bit awkward at first, but then I found that Vania is very warm and friendly, not to mention pretty and smart. We talked about so many things those are related to the store and fashion.

Here's the result:

RyuMyu is a franchise clothing store originated in Japan. The concept is Japanese-street fashion. And the key of Ryu Myu collection is layering, which will let the customers do their own fashion experiment to create a personalized dream style. Ryu Myu encourages the customers to have FUN with the collections. There are no rules involved.
As for customers, Ryu Myu customers are females who believe in their style and ready to express themselves, they are between 15 to 25 years old, from students to young professionals.
Like many other stores, such as Zara with its Zara Basic, Zara woman, Zara Kids and Zara Man -- Ryu Myu has two different labels : Ryu Myu and Ryu Myu Woman. The differences are based on the style. Ryu Myu Woman caters to young professionals with solid colors pieces in blazers, high waist skirts, etc. Basically appropriate office apparels. Ryu Myu, on the other hand, has more colorful and variations in designs.
Now that we know what Ryu Myu is all about, let's dive into who is behind this fabulousness! RYU MYU is named after two girls! Ryu and Myu. They have started and owned this franchise in Japan since last year. Surprisingly, Ryu and Myu have different styles of fashion.Ryu likes to stand out for everything, including fashion preference. she defines fashion as her personal statement. she tends not to follow the latest trend. Instead, she makes a new one. Her style is 'unusually' smart and stylish!

Myu is calm and prefers everything to be safe and sound. But unlike her personality, she likes to do colorful fashion mix n' match, her outfits are playful outfits! She's more like child-like and girly girl.
While Ryu Myu is popular in Japan, in Indonesia, they so far only have one store located in PIM 2. However, Ryu Myu is the first Japanese-street style clothing store in Indonesia. Its merchandise is imported from Japan. They arrive in a monthlu basis to keep the customers up-to-date with recent trends. They're not made by a specific designer to avoid high price tag. Speaking of price, it's so affordable. It's between IDR 200.000 - 600.000 ! I think we don't have to be a heiress to afford these cute stuffs.

Even though in Indonesia, Ryu Myu is still a newbie, but that doesn't change the fact that Ryu Myu is massively famous. Teen magazines like GoGirl, CosmoGirl, even ELLE MAGAZINE have borrowed products from Ryu Myu for photoshoots. Even Celebs often visit this store. Between being fabulous and affordable, I hope Ryu myu open up more branch stores in the future!
And btw, to preserve uniqueness and exclusivity, Ryu Myu limits the products to approx. 6 pieces only per design. So, if we spot something in the store, immediately try it on! if you think that piece rocks, don't think twice, just hurry make your way to the cashier and buy that piece!
