Though Republic of Chic is principally about fashion, I couldn't resist sharing this quirky design. I've always been delighted by the Indian bus ticket layout and the beautiful Hindi numerals. I used to save up these little pieces of paper as nostalgia from some remarkable trips taken with my family around the country. 

Neil Dantas, a very talented imaginative artist dreamed up these charming Bus Ticket chests. He describes; "This piece of furniture is inspired by the Best bus tickets and the form taken is to express how the tickets are torn by the bus conductors leaving that typical silhoutte." At Rs.10,000 a piece, these chests make you deserve them! :) 

For those of you looking for an 'Indian' piece of furniture, take a page from our awesome, mad public transport system. ;)
