It had to happen. We had to finish this year with a bang, and this one has Swarovski crystals to shine on and on and on. A style explosion by Jimmy Choo, because my dears, you deserve nothing less.
How gorgeous are these? Shoes are like men. Seriously. Sometimes they hurt you, sometimes they make you do crazy stuff. They need taking care of and don't always go with what you are wearing, but hey, we can't help but falling for the wrong ones over and over again.
Now leaving the shoe-porn aside, the New Year is upon us, and with it, plenty or resolutions to be made with the ones from 2010 up for revision. My resolutions last year were:
- Learn a new language (Dutch)
- Finish the book I've been writing for the past 2 years
- Be a great bridesmaid in April
- Fly to New York and shop 'til one drops
The two last ones were accomplished successfully, although New York was less about shopping and more about food, cocktails and more cocktails...and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I was indeed a rockin' bridesmaid, and there's a bride that can swear to that.
On the other side, I didn't manage to master the Dutch language, although I did get to that funny yet ackward level where you think you understand what they are telling you, let them ramble a little more and finally pathetically brave a "yes" or a "no", when they were asking you what time it was.
The book? This resolution has discreetly been passed on to the 2011 pile together with:
- Fixing my back injury and becoming more active
- Moving from Brussels to an inspiring place of my choice
- Owning my first pair of designer shoes
- Traveling to Berlin or Scotland, for completely different reasons
