How To: Maxi Skirt
Today I'd like to show you a couple of different looks with this fabulous maxi skirt. You've probably seen these absolutely everywhere! This one was only $40 from Supre and I'm finding it hard not to wear it everyday, it's just that good!Team MeetingDraping skirt for the office? Certainly my dear. I'd pair it with a detailed blouse and fitted blazer in a hue other than black. If you're wearing a light skirt I'd opt for a coloured blazer in a warm colour such as mustard or orange. Open toed heels work wonders with long dresses and skirts, but try not to wear bright coloured heels when wearing a maxi skirt; unless you are intent on making your shoes the feature.Blouse + Blazer = DottiShoes = Windsor SmithCoffee DateWant something laid back, but still fresh and fashionable? Layer your skirt with a printed, or cutout, knitted top and a pair of laced boots. I'm loving these babies from Novo. They're everywhere at the moment and ridiculous comfortable.Knitted Top - DottiShoes - NovoLecture HallNot everybody dresses up at uni, but that doesn't mean you can't. I love the classic bohemian look of a long skirt/dress with a boyfriend cardigan. It's one of my favourite looks this season. Throw on a pair of heels or wedges and you're good to go. If anyone asks where you're going after uni, tell them you're hitting up Mars or something. Always gives me a giggle.Tank - Cotton OnCardigan - Cotton On (mens)Ring - LovisaHeels - Rubi ShoesDrinks with the girlsKeen to show a bit of skin? Team your maxi skirt with a printed bustier to make some noise. This season calls for bright tie dye and leopard prints. This one was a steal at only $15 from Rochadames Boutique.Bustier - Rochadames BoutiqueNecklace - DivaHeels - Rubi Shoes---Makeup by Sarah Gibson---Photography by Allanah Hockam-Carrara Street Foodstore
