Sometimes all you need is girlfriends, the outdoors and cheese. This was the case for last weekend when some of the girls and I headed down to Byron Bay in New South Wales for a bit of a vege out, some beach time and a good quality catch up with one another. We hadn't had all of us in the same spot since last December with all the hustle and bustle of Christmas travel and guests taking up our already greater-than-life schedules. We had a delicious picnic on the beach for dinner and fantastic coconut icypoles were devoured at Fundies. We took in a hike from our accommodation up to the Cape Byron lighthouse where the view was spectacular. We karate danced along the beach and at one stage on Saturday night laughed until we nearly cried when lexi had a confrontation with a massive crab and ran for her dear life back to where we were all minding our own business. We came across a beautiful wedding reception by the beach and used their loud music for our own means (beach krumping if you dare). My bikini of choice for the weekend was from American Apparel in Melbourne, covered in a beautiful watermelon print. For saturday I paired the bikini with some fisherman pants from Pushkar at Coffs Harbour and a crop peterpan camisole from Dickybird at the Sunshine Coast, completed by a pair of boat shoes from Betts shoes.
On Sunday I mixed it up with both a play suit from Xenia at West End and a crochet dress from Venice. My purple vans made an appearance and I have no idea what my feet would have done without them on that hike.Until next time Byron Bay
