Why was this you might wonder? Well, over the past year I've dove into the magical world of burlesque and although I've got a long way to go before I can refer to myself as a polished burlesque artist, I'm definitely getting better with my confidence when I strip. The costumes do help a little bit, and with The Bombshells Ball, hosted at the Metro Arts centre in Brisbane city, and two new acts, all I needed to do was style some showgirl lingerie. Want to know how our costumes turned out? Suppose you'll have to buy your tickets to the show here. ♥

When Lord&Taylor asked if I'd be interested in styling their items in a series of posts, I checked out their plus selection and was really impressed. They carry a bunch of the best plus designers, like DKNYC, Vince Camuto, and my personal fave, Calvin Klein. CK makes quality, on trend pieces in classic cuts, and I chose an awesome cranberry tweed jacket with leather sleeves. I'm still big into this color for fall, and anything with leather accents is an immediate draw for me. I decided to pair it with my H&M+ button down and F21 skater skirt to give it a more casual feel, but it could work for the office too. As the temperature drops, I love having light jackets to throw on, and this one will definitely be a Fall favorite.need for tweed
