The Met Gala would have to be, for me at least, the most inspiring social event of the season. I am always, year after year, absolutely captivated by the marvellous fashions, trendsetters and creativity that is showcased on the runway. This year, it was impossible to choose a favourite outfit, so here's a selection of my favourite from women and men alike, images courtesy of E! news. There was pink and there were feathers, taffeta and satin, midriffs and yards of skirt trains. You simply have to set your eyes on the guests to believe that such a combination of styles could be at the one event.
