Never the less, we had a great chance to get a taste of the capital of Australia, as we visited Parliament House, Old Parliament House, The Bus Depot Markets and enjoyed walks along Lake Burley Griffin. Although we were staying in town at the Crowne Plaza, we spent most of our time on the other side of town in and around Kingston and Manuka.
When we first arrived on Friday morning the breeze was calm and we managed to get about without jackets, but by the time we left on Sunday we were all rugged up in stockings and jackets, though it didn't quite meet the chill factor Melbourne already had going on.
