Canberra Weekender

Last month This Guy and I met up with my family in Canberra to spend some quality time together, over several pots of tea, autumn leave battles and some exploring along the way. It was Anzac Day weekend, and we came together to attend the 100th Anniversary of the Gallipoli landing at the National Memorial Service... which happened to be at Dawn. Oh, weren't we excited by the 3am wake up call?

Never the less, we had a great chance to get a taste of the capital of Australia, as we visited Parliament House, Old Parliament House, The Bus Depot Markets and enjoyed walks along Lake Burley Griffin. Although we were staying in town at the Crowne Plaza, we spent most of our time on the other side of town in and around Kingston and Manuka.

When we first arrived on Friday morning the breeze was calm and we managed to get about without jackets, but by the time we left on Sunday we were all rugged up in stockings and jackets, though it didn't quite meet the chill factor Melbourne already had going on.Shirt Massimo Dutti, Skirt Spell, Boots Novo, Clutch CarpisaPlaces to Refuel:
