It Is So Very Cold Outside

Let us not fool you. Do not allow for glamorous magazine spreads, colourful covers or other media to tell you the opposite. It is still winter, and it is still freezing. While it may have stopped snowing in centre Europe, the temperatures are rarely anything but extremely cold. So while some are already pumping our inboxes with celebrities strolling around LA with the latest trend in sandals, daring bikini wear in Maldives, etc, we are happy to find some grounded sources of inspiration.

Pictured above Keira Knightley in what can only be described as the most stylish cozy coat ever, by Burberry.

It is only January and the pages of every single lifestyle magazine are full of the upcoming Spring/Summer collections which seem so far away. I don't know about you, dear reader, but I am still thinking big scarfs, gloves, rain-proof boots, and I am now day dreaming about the above mentioned coat. At €2500 it truly belongs to the oniric realm.

Tips to survive winter's last months:

  • Bring some colour by wearing a fuchsia scarf with your black coat. Sarah Jessica Parker has been doing so lately and we will be absolutely copying that look.
  • Wear your sunglasses as soon as the sun is out. They not only provide with early protection towards the summer rays, but also help you hold onto a holiday feeling, common of the warmer months.
  • Accessorise brightly. A bold handbag, some colourful leather gloves, anything that can remind you of spring will help you smile more and make the weeks go faster. If everything you are wearing is black and/or grey, accessorising was never easier.
