A night of fun for a good cause

After the Brisbane that tore through thousands of homes less than two weeks ago, the people for whom Brisbane cleaned houses full of mud for, need a little help on the economic front. Brisbane event management Edvents has stepped in to organise a charity event with IG'ZIST & Mirror Mirror Agencies in Fortitude Valley to up the community’s spirit and raise some much needed funds for the victims.

The evening will feature entertainment for both fans of live music and those of Brisbane fashion. As Edda Hamar, director of Edvents describes, “The Big Dry Out brings together the best of Brisbane’s music and fashion scene to raise money for Queensland flood victims.” The event, Big Dry Out, will include a variety of musical acts, from Australian Idol contestant Bobby Flynn to Brisbane favourites The Ride. For the fashion squad, a runway will showcase dresses from Brisbane Boutiques and Designers including Drobe and Karen Neilson.

The best part? All proceeds of the ticket price going to the Flood Appeal! A small token of $20 for students, and $30 for adults, goes a long way to helping those who were affected by the floods to rebuild their homes, and their lives. The event will take place at Lightspace on Friday the 28th of January, commencing at 6pm.

Tickets are now available online at Oz Tix.
