Fields: Barren Lands

The lands tell a story, of the seasons and how they come and go. When Winter whispers through the trees, the leaves fall and the fruit dries, the earth cracks and the blue of the sky darkens. The land taken almost a barren form, for those who can not see the beauty of nature forming slowly ready for Spring to tell another story of new life and salvation.

To me black and white represent the ying and yang of winter, how dark and mysterious the season, and yet how living in hope for the new beginnings ahead can lighten any landscape, no matter how dry or bare.Photography - Katrina Boultwood
