Sass and Bide's Fall 2010 collection at LFW has very a interesting mash up of textures; leather, feathers, metal studs, lace, crochet and the most interesting detail to me, the cowry shells. These shells are available in plenty in the Indian Ocean and one can find them for sale in most craft shops in India. Why, even a very popular local game of chance is enjoyed with these shells as dice! So naturally, as the models walked down the runway, I took DIY notes in a frenzy ;)

I'm particularly loving them in the first image in clever combination with the gold studs (looks like studs are here to stay even this season!) The mod metallic head pieces and the rich berry lips nicely complete the look :)
